Gold prices slip marginally in early trading on Monday

Ten grams of 24-carat gold were trading at Rs 1,52,720 in early trading on Monday, down Rs 10 from the previous day, according to the multiple media reports. A kilogram of silver traded for Rs 2,74,900, a decrease of Rs 100.
Ten grams of 22-carat gold traded for Rs 1,39,990, a drop of Rs 10. Ten grams of 24-carat gold cost Rs 1,54,900 in Chennai and Rs 1,52,720 in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Meanwhile, ten kilos of 24-carat gold cost Rs 1,55,900 in Delhi. Wile, ten grams of 22-carat gold cost Rs 1,39,990 in Mumbai, Rs 1,41,990 in Chennai, and the same amount in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
In Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, a kilogram of silver cost Rs 2,64,900. While in Chennai, a kilogram of silver cost Rs 2,69,900.
The prospect of a US rate hike led US gold to slightly decline on Monday, extending losses from the previous session. Meanwhile, fresh conflicts in the Gulf drove up oil prices, raising concerns about inflation.
The spot gold had dropped 0.2 per cent to USD 4,321.49 per ounce by 0124 GMT. On Friday, the prices dropped almost 3 per cent, reaching their lowest level since March 24 due to increased investments for interest rate hikes following a better-than-expected US jobs report.
