TokenSociety and Archstone Entertainment Announce “Gay Aliens in Metaverse” – New Sitcom Starting Avatars From The Gay Aliens Society NFT Project

Cheyanne, Wyoming, 5 Jan 2022, ZEXPRWIRE, TokenSociety.io, an NFT and metaverse project launchpad, announced today that they have entered into a partnership with Archstone Entertainment, a Hollywood, California-based production and distribution company, to develop, produce, and distribute one of the first adult-themed animated sitcoms. This show is based on an NFT project which was launched on the TokenSociety.io platform. The name of the show is “Gay Aliens in Metaverse,” and the stars of the show are the avatars from the Gay Aliens Society NFT project that the show is based on.

Gay Aliens Society is a collection of 10,000 hand-drawn avatars created by artist, Tima Marso. Gay Aliens NFT owners who wish to participate in the new sitcom will be given the chance to register their NFT via the project’s official Discord server and participate in a community-driven casting.  There will also be an open casting call in the official Discord for those who wish to participate in the show as a voice-over actor. 

Twenty Avatars from the Gay Aliens Society NFT Collection will be selected for starring, co-starring, and supporting recurring roles in the show for the entire season (10 episodes). Additional roles will be made available for each episode giving all NFT owners a chance to take part as a guest star or extra. Each Gay Aliens avatar has randomly generated traits including sun, moon, rising sun, and Venus zodiac signs which will be used to create the personalities of each character on the show.  

Owners of NFTs selected for the show will enter into licensing agreements with the production, allowing them to earn royalties from the show as well as any ancillary revenue streams.

This is the second Television show to be financed and produced by TokenSociety. The project launchpad is currently co-producing “Men of the House”, the first TV show financed exclusively through the sale of NFTs, which they term “Snippetz”. These Snippetz are short clips of the project with real-world assets and experiences attached. This allows the Snippetz NFT owners to participate in the project at various levels. 

The launch of the Gay Aliens NFT sitcom could be described as an intelligent blend of traditional television with upcoming metaverse entertainment. Archstone Entertainment will be responsible for the development, production, and worldwide distribution/sales of the project content through traditional channels while another interactive virtual reality version of the show will be available for viewing on a metaverse platform that TokenSociety is currently developing, which will be a completely new paradigm in terms of online entertainment. 

Bringing companies with an established track record of success onto new platforms is a great way to encourage mainstream adoption. It’s also a very practical step because workable models can still be utilized on new architectures, as marketing psychology and human behavior are often independent of technological innovation.

The NFT market growth and recent mainstream interest in the metaverse is unique in that it is (currently) driven by entertainment and leisure as opposed to functional utility. Scott H.
